Announcement regarding Future Projects’ Social Distancing Policy:

 

With the caution and concern around the spread of Covid-19 intensifying, we have had to assess how we approach our daily operations at Future Projects. Our priority above all else is the welfare of our staff, service users and overall community, with that in mind, we have taken the decision to implement a Social Distancing Policy, including for all staff to work from home if they can on an indeterminate basis.

We are taking this extremely seriously and believe that social distancing is the best way of preventing the spread. We are particularly concerned for our more vulnerable clients and that by staying open as normal, we would be in danger of doing them more harm than good.

We will continue to carry out our work as far as we are able, but expect that there may be further developments in the coming weeks, in which case we will aim to issue updates as soon as we can.

Much of the in-person support offered by Future Support is being limited to phone calls or postponing of non-urgent meetings. However, we are still aiming to deal with emergency cases as far as possible, if you need to speak to Future Support, please could you contact 01603 327 889.

Future Education is currently closed, but staff are working with parents, pupils and the Local Authority to manage safety and provide learning materials and support.

Future Radio is temporarily relocating and minimising contact with volunteers, which impacts our ability to present and produce live programming, including making schedule amendments to ensure enough time between presenters to clean the studios. However, we still aim to broadcast as much of our content live as is possible, including Breakfast and Drive, as well as the newly produced Community Session at lunchtime Monday – Thursday.
