Our Services

At Future Projects, we help people most in need in Norfolk, particularly those left behind by existing services.

We deliver our work through our three core services: Future Education, Radio and Support.

Future Education

Future Education is more than just a school; it’s a haven for students who’ve had a tough start.

Each of our learners, from Year 9 to 11, comes to us with unique challenges and an Education Health and Care Plan. They all have complex SEND and severe social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Instead, we tailor an individual blend of academic, therapeutic, and vocational learning that best suits their needs.

With your support, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of Norfolk’s young people.

Future Radio

Future Radio is the voice of Norwich, a local radio station where everyone has a chance to be heard. We’re not just about music and news; we’re about community spirit, opportunities, and skill-building.

We’re run by over 70 community members who create and produce shows, run events, carry out office and admin tasks and everything else required to run a radio station.

By supporting us, you’re amplifying the voices and stories of Norwich.

Future Support

Future Support is the helping hand that reaches out to those often overlooked in Norfolk. We adapt our services to respond to the needs of the disadvantaged communities we support, whether that means providing warm meals, skill building workshops and training, running community groups, or specialist one-to-one advice and guidance with finances, housing, isolation, unemployment, abuse, addiction, mental health, and more.

Last year, we worked with over a thousand individuals, empowering them to live independently. We step in to prevent minor issues from becoming major obstacles. With your support, we can continue to build resilience and independence within our community.

Below are Future Support’s current projects and services.

The Baseline Centre

Our dedicated Baseline support team, located in the heart of the Marlpit housing estate, help local people with whatever challenges they may be facing, whether a quick hand filling in welfare forms or providing long-term specialist support for a family to avoid eviction and regain their independence.

Money Matters

Our Money Matters project helps local people navigate financial crises, create manageable budgets, and tackle debt. We equip individuals with the skills and confidence to regain financial independence, to achieve long-term stability without ongoing support. Through radio shows and podcasts, we also share practical tips to help the wider community manage their money effectively.

Hardship Support

Since the Cost of Living crisis, we have enhanced our services to ensure local people facing extreme hardship have access to the support they need. Apollo

The Apollo Project recruits and trains unemployed volunteers at our Baseline Centre, helping them build skills and confidence for employment in the Health and Social Care sector. Volunteers gain work-readiness training, on-the-job experience, and formal qualifications, with support to move into placements or employment within the sector.
