Volunteering is a great way of building your skills, confidence and moving forward with your ambitions. We have a number of opportunities from admin support to presenting radio shows, supporting events to helping with community meals. We provide full training and ongoing support in the role, and can be very flexible around your needs and availability.

Charity Trustees are responsible for the effective governance and management of the charity in line with its charitable aims and legal requirements. Being a Trustees offers valuable leadership skills, training and development opportunities, but perhaps most importantly, it offers the chance to contribute to a cause that matters most to you.

Energy Advisor
Status: Fixed Term, until 31st March 2028, with extension subject to funding
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week – subject to Four Day Week following probation period (see below)
Salary: £26,000 per annum

We are looking for an Energy Advisor to join our Future Support team in Norwich, delivering tailored advice and practical support to households struggling with energy bills, through the Norwich Energy Project. Based at The Baseline Centre, the role focuses on helping residents reduce energy bills, improve energy efficiency and build long-term resilience, through one-to-one guidance on issues such as tariff switching, understanding bills, smart meter use and energy debt. Working closely with clients, colleagues and local partners, the Energy Advisor will also play a key role in raising awareness of energy issues across our services and communities, helping people feel more confident, informed and in control of their energy use.
Four Day Week: Future Projects is committed to providing the best working environment for its staff. As such, we are accredited Real Living Wage, Disability Confident and Four Day Week Gold Standard Employers. Our staff work the 100:80:100 model of the 4-day working week, meaning they deliver 100% of their output in 80% of their contracted hours, and are paid 100% of their salary; providing staff with a de-facto 4-day working week. The role holder will qualify to opt-in to the Four Day Week, following successful completion of their probation period and after a 6-month review.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to join the team at Future Radio, Norwich’s community radio station. This role focuses on recruiting, training and supporting a diverse network of volunteers who are at the heart of the station’s day-to-day operation, community projects and income-generating activities. The Volunteer Coordinator will play a key role in helping the station grow its impact by creating inclusive opportunities, building strong relationships across the community, and ensuring volunteers feel confident and valued in their roles. Working closely with a small staff team and local partners, the Volunteer Coordinator will help strengthen Future Radio’s sustainability while supporting people to develop skills, confidence and social connections through volunteering.
